There are significant barriers caregivers of Autistic individuals often face when trying to access information, training, and support to help them navigate supporting their Autistic child(ren). These barriers are heightened for individuals with marginalized identities including race, gender, and being low income. The Autism Society of Greater New Orleans is launching a 6 session seminar series both in-person and virtually specifically aimed to reduce these barriers and provide free, accurate, and actionable information to caregivers of Autistic individuals. Space is limited, and free childcare will be provided during the seminars for those who need it. Caregivers should expect to attend all 6 sessions, light refreshments will be provided, and time for caregivers to network with each other will also be available. The location has free off-street parking, and also easy Public transportation access with a bus stop right on the street corner!
